
Albany County Industrial Development Agency Names New Board Chair and Vice Chair
Michael Paparian and Dennis Feeney to lead the not-for-profit public benefit corporation board

ALBANY, N.Y.—The Albany County Industrial Development Agency (ACIDA) is pleased to announce the organization's new chairman of the Board of Directors, Michael Paparian, and vice chair Dennis Feeney.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Michael Paparian and Dennis Feeney on their appointments as Chair and Vice Chair of the Albany County Industrial Development Agency,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “Their leadership comes at a pivotal time for our region, as we are on the cusp of several transformative projects that will shape our economic future for years to come. Albany County is leading the way with the redevelopment of the Central Warehouse, the former College of Saint Rose Campus, the Al-Tech Steel site in Colonie, the Heritage Park Property and the former South End Grocery Store. I am confident that under their guidance we will see new opportunities emerge that benefit our local businesses, workforce and residents.”
Michael Paparian is Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Citizens and has served as treasurer for the ACIDA Board for 20 years. He is active in the community as a board member for the Center for Economic Growth and treasurer of the Albany County Capital Resource Corporation.
Dennis Feeney is currently serving his fifth term on the Albany County Legislature, representing residents of the 29th Legislative District and serving as Majority Leader. Feeney is also the Director of Government Affairs for the New York Division of Military and Naval Affairs. A local practicing attorney for 38 years, Dennis is currently working as a sole practitioner.
Feeney will also be nominated as a new member and Vice Chair of the Albany County Capital Resource Corporation (ACCRC). The ACCRC was authorized by the Albany County Legislature in 2014 and furnishes advice and technical assistance, as well as serving as a liaison with state, federal and local authorities.
“Dennis Feeney has made a lifelong commitment to Albany County’s people and its business community. With deep local roots in his home district in Guilderland, he is a perfect match to help lead the Albany County Capital Resource Corporation,” said Albany County Legislature Chairwoman Joanne Cunningham. “Dennis’ 38 years of legal experience will be an asset as both a technical advisor with ACCRC as well as serving as a liaison with state, federal and local authorities. As a Legislature, we are excited to see what he and the team do next.”
