ALBANY, N.Y.— Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy, alongside Advance Albany County Alliance CEO Kevin O'Connor, presented Eckert Mechanical, LLC with a $300,000 ceremonial check today. This funding, provided through the county-backed Al Tech Loan Fund, supports the company's relocation to a new three-acre facility at 49 Sicker Road in Latham and its plans to expand union employment.
The event took place at the company’s new headquarters, highlighting the company's growth and commitment to the local workforce. The expansion is expected to create at least six new union jobs, strengthening the region's skilled labor force and supporting long-term economic growth in Albany County.
Founded in 1987, Eckert Mechanical has established itself as a leading mechanical contractor in the Northeast and New England. The company specializes in a wide range of services, including the installation and maintenance of large refrigeration systems, commercial plumbing, process plant piping, medical gas systems, and HVAC systems. Their expertise extends to high-purity piping for pharmaceutical, food service, and semiconductor applications.
The new facility at 49 Sicker Road, encompassing 11,250 square feet, will serve as the company's headquarters. This strategic move positions Eckert Mechanical closer to Albany International Airport, enhancing its logistical capabilities and access to key markets.
“I was proud to announce an important investment in a local business with deep roots in the community, Eckert Mechanical,” said County Executive McCoy.
